Visit of the Andersons.
Among many other dear travellers of ours, the Andersons have
a very special place. They visited us for the 4th time for
a short leisurely birding tour along the western border of
Hungary. We have met first in 2001 and since than they regularly
join us on tours, so there is no really corner of the area
what we are still missing. We explored all Hungary, western
Transylvania of Romania, and Slovenia Croatia too. We spent
long weeks together, and now they came over with family to
celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. We had extreme heat,
unfortunatelly, while birding wasn't very productive, also
we are a bit out of season, but still we have seen some great
birds. For a day Szabi Gal, "Birder of the Year in 2008"
and my county-mate joined us to help me out in this extreme
heat we had, and also he was a big bonus during our party-night
:) Szabi is a singer of a local rockband and made a unforgottable
performance for us... It was wild! :))
